On the same day, at Seishin Regenerative Medicine Center, the world’s first operation was performed on a patient for transplantation of adipose tissue-derived stem cells with the Celution™ System in the field of cosmetic medicine (breast augmentation). Before the surgery, Dr. Marc Hedrick from Cytori Therapeutics, Inc., and who discovered adipose tissue-derived stem cells and developed the CelutionTM System, came to Japan. Dr. Hedrick and Cosmetic Surgery Seishin General Director Kamakura participated in the surgery and attended the press conference.
