US Cytori Therapeutics, Inc., won the Frost & Sullivan Awards

lantation of adipose tissue-derived stem cells with the Celution System will be the global standard

US Cytori Therapeutics, Inc. (San Diego, CEO Christopher J. Calhoun), the company developing the Celution System, a high-precision device for extraction of stem cells, won two categories of the Frost & Sullivan Awards/Innovation of the Year 2008, which are known to be the highest honors awarded by the American health care industry.

In 2008, Cytori Therapeutics won the awards in the regenerative medicine category and the medical device category, which are comparable to the Nobel Prize in the health care industry. The technology for transplantation of adipose tissue-derived stem cells developed by Cytori has been recognized as a pioneering technology for regenerative medicine and is expected to contribute significantly to the further development of regenerative medicine. In the future, Cytori’s advanced medical technologies for transplantation of adipose tissue-derived stem cells are likely to become the global standard in regenerative medicine. Moreover, in the development of regenerative medicine in the United States, the Celution System will contribute to a reduction in medical costs and improvement in the patients’ quality of life (QOL) in the near future, all of which led to the awarding of the deserved honors.

Celution System

The Celution System is a fully automated stem cell extraction system developed for harvesting adipose tissue-derived stem cells with high purity from subcutaneous adipose tissue, and clinical projects are now under way in Europe and other regions around the world. Cosmetic Surgery Seishin is the world’s first to introduce the Celution System in the field of cosmetic medicine. Since the first breast augmentation by transplantation of adipose tissue-derived stem cells in November 2007, many patients have undergone breast augmentation with the Celution System on the basis of the cutting-edge regenerative medicine technology. In alliance with Cytori Therapeutics, the world’s leader in the development of devices for regenerative medicine, we provide cosmetic medicine of even higher quality involving regenerative medicine technologies for breast augmentation and breast reconstruction by transplantation of adipose tissue-derived stem cells, as well as anti-aging treatment.
